Sophie's session in Bolivar, MO included drone photos that show the field from above. If you want drone senior pictures in your own gallery, plan a two-hour session so there is time to include them.
The photos here give you a few views to consider for your session. You can see how much of the setting appears around the person, from a closer overhead view to a wider photo with more of the field. When you are choosing a place, our Bolivar senior picture location guide can help you gather ideas to talk through.
What can drone senior pictures look like?
A drone takes the photo from above. In a field, that view can show the grass around you and the shape of your pose. A wider view gives the setting more space in the photo. A closer view keeps more attention on you.
Look through the photos and notice which view you keep coming back to. You might like a wide field photo, an overhead portrait, or both. Save the examples you want to discuss when you plan your session.
These can be part of a gallery that also includes photos taken on the ground. Think about which looks you want across the whole session. Our senior photography options in Bolivar are a place to start as you choose your session.
Two-hour senior sessions for drone photos
For drone photos, a two-hour session makes the most sense. A shorter session does not leave enough time to fit them into the plan. Mention drone photos before booking so we can talk about the time and location together.
That gives us a chance to plan how they fit alongside your other photos. If you have several outfits or locations in mind, share those ideas too. We can talk through the full session before the day arrives.
Choosing two hours does not mean every location works for drone photos. The place and the conditions still shape the plan. Ask about including them in your session rather than assuming they come with every two-hour booking.
Choosing a location for photos from above
The setting takes up more space in a wide drone photo. Look at what you like about the field photos here: the open space, the grass, or the view around the person. Those details can help you explain the look you want.
A location also needs to work for the flight. The FAA's guide to where drones can fly explains that pilots must check the rules for the area. Share any place you have in mind early so we can check it before making a plan.
The FAA's airspace guidance also explains why some areas need flight permission. We will talk through the location for your photos; you do not need to pick a flight route.
