What do you think of when you hear the word “vintage”? For me, vintage meant fashion, old money, dramatic poses and stylistic photos, and I wanted to truly capture the essence of that word.

There's nothing that makes me feel more put-together than having my calendar fully filled in and organized. It truly is the little things in life that you have to learn to appreciate. Like my color-coded weekly agenda.

With springtime finally here, I was so excited to be able to capture the joy that comes with this season of new beginnings and growth.

This studio session with Ellaina was SO much fun! I’m so glad that I was able to capture that fun, sporty part of her personality through this photoshoot. She did a great job of expressing her athletic side through her many different poses and constant moving.

So what’s an easy and fun way to do this simply by what you bring with you to your session?

This is one of the most common questions we get and also one of the most important ones to get right. Senior photos aren’t something you want to scramble on — not because they’re stressful, but because the seniors who give themselves plenty of time consistently end up with a better experience and more options. We know junior year is wrapping up and suddenly it's like someone hit fast forward on everything and there are approximately 4,000 decisions to make about senior photos and you don't even know where to start.

We had Kayla over to the studio for a brand shoot!

After that shoot, we did a fun spring mini. I loved getting to use some of the new backdrop colors! (This cream color is one of my favs.)

Let’s set the scene.

It’s photo session day. You have been planning this for weeks.

The outfits are cute, the kids are bathed, and you are feeling cautiously optimistic.

And then your three-year-old walks in

Senior photos are such a main character moment.

So here’s the vibe: you want to look like you, just a little more polished. Not like you’re playing dress-up. Not like you borrowed someone else’s personality from Pinterest.

One thing I love about studio sessions is that the focus is on you and it's up to you to make them yourself.

Mollie truly did that and I love how how much personality she showed through these photos.

This session was so fun! Despite babies doing baby things, we were able to get some really cute shots!

Baby Rachel is almost 6 months and we had to celebrate with a studio session!

Her whole family is so sweet and her mom and sister came to make sure she was doted on the whole time. They even FaceTimed dad in!

These girls were so so fun to have at the studio! They were laughing, brought ideas for posing and it’s just so good to celebrate friendship.

Eisley hosted this session at the studio and did an amazing job creating a fun space for these friends.

We got to photograph the K-Life Galentine’s event last week and I’m still smiling about it.

First of all, Valentine’s Day is fine… but it’s not nearly as cool as a room full of girls hyping each other up, taking pics together, and having the most fun with it. Like, sorry, but Galentine’s wins.

I have known Savannah since we were kids! We grew up together, ended up rooming together before I got married in college and have done so much life together.

And Makenzie started babysitting my kids a couple summer ago and then I ended up hiring her in my business.

Jeremy and Kim are always ready to laugh and have fun and that is only elevated when their daughter is the one taking the photos.

What is it about a band of brothers running across the snow together that makes you feel like you’re witnessing greatness? Haha!

Eisley is such a joy and I really wanted this mini snow day session to bring that out while also capturing her soft, introspective side.

It’s been so fun to get to know her as she has worked with me (Hi, Jordan here!) at the studio. She is kind, thoughtful, super fun and down for trotting through the frigid temps for some snowy senior photos.
