Jim & Cheri Valentine Mini

Jim and Cheri came into the studio for their Valentine mini and Eisley photographed them dancing, in traditional poses, and sweet close ups.

I love the softness between the two of them and then the joy that seems to overflow. Also, look at how he looks at her!

That's the thing about couples who have been together a long time. The love isn't performed for the camera, it's just there. You can feel it in the way they move around each other, the way they laugh, the way they hold on. Eisley didn't have to manufacture any of it. She just had to be ready.

The variety in this session is worth pointing out too. Dancing together, close up portraits, traditional side by side poses — each setup pulls out something slightly different. The dancing frames have this lightness to them. The close ups are tender. The traditional poses are confident. Together they tell a much fuller story than any single setup could on its own.

Valentine minis are one of the best excuses to get photos done as a couple. Not for a wedding, not for a milestone, just because you love each other and the photos would be beautiful. Jim and Cheri are a great reminder of that.

Couples photos at every stage of a relationship are worth having. Early on, years in, decades later — each set looks different and means something different. These are the ones that end up framed, passed down, looked at on the hardest days and the best ones.
