Josh & Ella Valentine Mini

Josh and Ella are so fun I can practically hear them laughing through these images. Sophie hosted this session in the studio and made sure to bring out their personalities with tons of fun.

I love the glasses, picking each other up and the constant laughing. That energy is not something you manufacture — Sophie just created the space for it and these two took it from there. Couples who genuinely enjoy each other are the easiest and most fun to photograph, and Josh and Ella are a great example of that.

The props helped too. There's something about a good pair of oversized glasses that immediately breaks the ice and gets everyone laughing. Once that happens the whole session shifts. The camera stops feeling like a big deal and the couple just starts being themselves. Sophie knows exactly how to use a moment like that and these photos are the result.
