Thirsty Cactus: The Perfect Way to Spend a Summer Day
Sophie and Emma were working at the studio when they decided they wanted something cold to drink. They are both runners, so water was already part of the day. This time, they wanted a fun drink and a quick break. They went to Thirsty Cactus in Bolivar.
The Drive
They left Jordan Brittley Studio and drove south on Springfield Avenue, past 3G’s and Jasmine Chinese Restaurant. Thirsty Cactus is a small drive-through shop at 2115 South Springfield Avenue.
The menu had fruit refreshers, energy drinks, and Red Bull Chargers. Sophie and Emma picked their drinks while Emma searched the bottom of her purse for her punch card. She found it, and the card earned two more punches.
The Drinks
The drinks came out in bright shades of orange and red, with ice and condensation on the 24-ounce cups. Sophie and Emma took a few photos, thanked the person at the window, and drove back to the studio.
Thirsty Cactus made an easy stop on a hot Bolivar afternoon. Cold drinks, a found punch card, and two runners back at work.
