Brand Session for Happyologie’s furry friends

Happyologie is our sister brand and when it came time to create content for their furry friends collection, we wanted the photos to feel like the brand actually feels: warm, real, and genuinely happy. We put together two separate sessions with two completely different setups, and Sophie shot both of them.

One of the stars was Sophie's own cat, a long-haired tabby with white markings and the kind of face that photographs like he knows exactly what he's doing.

Session One: Light and Airy with Ellaina

The first session had a soft, editorial feel. Ellaina came in wearing a white dress, and we built the setup around that same clean, cream-toned palette. Sheer curtains, warm natural light, a neutral chair, and a book in hand. The concept was simple: a quiet evening with a cat who has decided to insert himself into your reading time, which, if you have a cat, you know is extremely accurate to real life.

The cat moved freely throughout the setup and we let him. Some of the best frames came from him stretching across the floor mid-shoot, winding around Ellaina's legs while she was mid-page, or just sitting and staring directly at the camera with the kind of energy that suggests he had opinions about the whole thing. The finished photos have a lightness to them that fits Happyologie perfectly. They feel like a slow morning, which is exactly what they were going for.

Session Two: Cozy and Lived-In with Annalise

The second session had a completely different energy. Annalise came in wearing a soft pink ribbed top and we leaned into that warmth across the whole setup. Fuzzy blankets, pink pillows, notebooks and planners scattered around, a laptop nearby. The kind of space where you actually do your best work because it feels comfortable enough to stay in for hours.

This setup tied directly into Happyologie's productivity and everyday happiness content, and the cat fit right into it. He settled into the blankets like he'd been there the whole time and was generally unbothered by everything happening around him. Annalise was great with him and the chemistry between them read naturally in every frame. The photos from this session have a coziness that makes you want to crawl into the setup yourself, which is exactly the feeling Happyologie's audience responds to.

Two Setups, One Gallery

The two sessions gave Happyologie a wide range of content to pull from — bright and clean on one end, warm and cozy on the other — while the cat tied everything together across both. It was a good day in the studio and the gallery reflects that.
