Here’s a look at what happens during the afternoon, including the parts that don’t come with the finished gallery.
We’ll work through the first setup together
We’ll talk, choose where to start, and give you a direction to try. You can ask questions while we work.
The conversation keeps going between pictures. Tell us about the outfit you chose or what you’re looking forward to this year. We’d like to hear it.
You’ll move between pictures
We might ask you to walk, sit, turn, or look toward someone who came with you. Then we can try another idea.
We keep the camera ready while we talk, too. A laugh between directions can become part of the gallery alongside the pictures we planned.
Outfit changes need a little time
Give yourself room to change and check the next outfit. A brush, a hair tie, and comfortable shoes for moving between spots can be useful.
If a zipper needs another try or you want to adjust a layer, we can stop for that. You’ll probably be glad you packed everything together when you’re looking for the other shoe.
We’ll work with the day we have
Outdoors, the light can change and people can pass through the background. We can wait, shift where we stand, or try a different view.
You can tell us when you want a break or need to adjust something. We’ll talk through what comes next.
You get to have an opinion
Tell us which ideas you like and which ones you’d rather skip. You might want to try something again with another outfit or ask for a picture with the person who came along.
