A lot of Bolivar High School students showed up to celebrate prom at the gazebo this year. Eisley, Sophie, and Emma showed up to the gazebo in Bolivar in full prom looks on April 25th — colorful dresses, hair done, completely ready. Makenzie had the camera.

Prom photos are a small window. You are dressed, and you have people you care about next to you.

These three came in as people who already know each other well, which meant the ease between them showed up before a single frame was taken. Prom photos with a group of friends who are actually comfortable together read differently than posed lineups. Makenzie hosted this session and photographed them with their friend groups, with each other and anyone else who wanted photos.

The gazebo in Bolivar is a solid prom photo location because it gives you something to stand near without taking over the frame. It’s also a good reliable spot even with rain. Thankfully no rain this year but you never know.
