Mariam & Jared Courthouse Wedding | Springfield MO

Picture this, its 7:22pm on a random Saturday and Jordan texts you asking if you’d be up for shooting a courthouse wedding this Thursday. Obviously you say YES!

Weddings are such a special moment between a couple and the photos are such a important part of keeping that days memories alive for the rest of their lives; no pressure or anything.

As I get further into my 20’s and have more friends in this stage of life of wedding planning, I absolutely love having a back seat into seeing how they plan for the big day.

With all the endless joy, there is also endless stress. Contacting and booking your vendors, deciding on a venue, picking your first dance song, there are about 200 million choices you have to make. Not even to mention how expensive it is to plan a wedding these days.

I know it becomes the most special and worthwhile day, and they would do it all over again to marry the loves of their lives.

I also know that it makes me, personally, never want to go through the trouble.

I think there is something so special about a courthouse wedding. The fact that they wanted to do this special thing, by themselves, for themselves.

Two witnesses.

One Judge.

One Photographer.

At 4pm on a random Thursday.

Honestly the dream if you ask me.

I met Mariam and Jared at the courthouse and we had such a special time together. After the ceremony we went around Downtown Springfield to take photos and celebrate the sweet couple.

Downtown Springfield has such a natural beauty to it, it made the perfect backdrop. Towards the end, we landed at Hotel Vandivort for the final photos that fit the mood of the day so perfectly. Super classy and aesthetic, but still so authentic and real.

All the details from her pearl dress, the rings, down to the way they looked at eachother. They made it so easy for me to do my job and I could not be more obsessed with how you can see their love through the photos

We are wishing Mariam and Jared so much happiness and joy and they step into this next phase of life together and it was such a pleasure to be part of this day.
