Senior Photos in the Snow: Sophie Stimpson

Sophie is such a talented, bright young woman and I wanted to capture that inner confidence that is being grown in her each day.

It's been so fun to get to know her as she has worked with me (Hi, Jordan here!) at the studio. She is gentle, thoughtful and always serving everyone else. It was fun to put the focus on her!

Snow day sessions don't happen often in the 417 and when they do you have to move fast. The light is completely different — softer, more diffused, with this quiet quality that you just can't replicate any other time of year. We took full advantage of it and I think that comes through in every frame.

There's something really special about photographing someone you know well. You already have the shorthand. You know what makes them laugh, what helps them relax, what expression is actually them and which one is the camera face. Sophie gave me all of the real ones and these photos show exactly who she is right now.

So proud of you, Sophie. These are beautiful.
