Harlee Neal is six and she walked into the studio already excited about the flower tower setup for the spring photo minis. Eisley got to photograph her spring mini session at the studio this week.
I love Harlee’s sweet lilac dress and the texture from the ruffles. It fits her personality so well and these types of dresses are perfect for active kids as well!

I love these sweet poses throughout the session: the flowers behind the back, the photo of Harlee laying on the ground with flowers all around, the photo of her selecting her favorite flowers from the flower tower.
There has been something so special about getting to see kids play with flowers, style them and enjoy them!
Spring florals in the studio
The setup was built around our new favorite studio prop: our flower tower. It is full of blooms, cascading flowers and things for kids to make their own kind of flower art from.
There’s always something incredible about watching flowers bloom in the spring and we are so excited to get to do that with you in the studio (but in an allergy-friendly way) for the kids.
What a spring mini session at Jordan Brittley Studio looks like
A spring mini at the studio runs 15-30 minutes depending on the session you book. You bring one outfit, kids included, and the rest is set. Short enough to fit into a Saturday morning, with around 25 to 30 final images in the gallery.

Jordan Brittley Studio is at 112 South Springfield Ave in Bolivar, MO. The studio serves families across the 417, and the calendar usually opens spring mini dates in early March and again for a fall set in October. Outside of mini season, individual kids photography sessions in Bolivar MO book year round at the studio.
If you are planning a session for an elementary age kid, plan for a setup that lets them move. Standing still works for about three frames at that age. The rest of the gallery comes from them doing what they would do at home anyway. Laughing, telling you something, picking something up, putting it down.
Watching a six year old run her own session is one of the better parts of this job.
