Tessa is graduating from Bolivar High School this Sunday. We've got to celebrate!
Tessa is the kind of person who celebrates everyone else so easily and its time to put the spotlight on her.
Emma hosted this session for one of her very first sessions so Sophie was there to support. Tessa is friends with both of them already, so the whole thing felt more like a hangout than a shoot.
They stepped out of the studio and onto the Bolivar Square at golden hour for a downtown session in one outfit — a black long-sleeve, medium-wash jeans, and clean tan sneakers.

The Square at this hour is a great backdrop on its own. The brick storefronts catch the warm light. The stop signs and crosswalks add texture. The buildings give you something to lean against, sit in front of, or walk past. Every spot Emma needed was within a block.
Tessa kept her look simple on purpose. One outfit from her real closet, a small braided headband detail across the front of her hair, her favorite tan sneakers, and the green wristband still on her wrist from wherever she came from earlier that day. Nothing she would not put on for a Tuesday afternoon downtown. What you do not see in the photos but matters anyway: Tessa, Emma, Sophie, and the rest of the Class of 2026 friend group have been doing this all spring. Senior sessions, prom, the cap and gown shoot, decision day. Three of them are graduating the same weekend. The friendship runs through every set of photos we have made this year.
A Senior Session That Matches the Senior
I had to mix in some black and white photos for Tessa because they are epic with her outfit choice. The shadows on the stucco walls. The bokeh off the courthouse pillars at golden hour. The frames where she is laughing at something Emma said off camera.
