I remember being a senior. There were things I was excited about and plenty of plans to think through. Your photos can be one of the things you get to enjoy along the way.
Maybe you’ve been saving ideas for months. Maybe you’ve picked an outfit and want help with the rest. I’d like to hear what you have in mind.
Here’s a little senior photoshoot pep talk, with a look at what we’ll do together on the day.

Who helps with posing?
I’ll give you directions as we go. We might start with a turn, a few steps, or a place to sit. I can show you what I mean, too.
You can keep talking while we photograph. If a direction sounds funny, say so. Sometimes the explanation gives us something to laugh about.
What happens when you arrive?
We’ll talk, look through your outfits, and choose where to begin. If you’re coming to Jordan Brittley Studio, we’re at 112 South Springfield Ave in Bolivar.

What if you want to change something?
Tell me. If an outfit keeps sliding, a position feels uncomfortable, or you’d like a break, we can stop and adjust.
You’re part of the conversation. We can try an idea, see how it goes, and choose another one.
What can you get ready before the day?
Try on the full outfits you’re bringing, including shoes and layers. Save a few photos with colors or locations you like so we have a starting point.

What should you bring from your own life?
Your cleats, a guitar, a book, the jacket you wear everywhere. Kami brought pickleball gear to her Bolivar senior session, which gave us something to work into her photos.
Your music can come along, too. A portable speaker is an option if you’d like one for your playlist. Choose the songs you’ll enjoy hearing while we work.
Bring a drink in a cup with a lid and straw, or use a bottle you already have. Comfortable shoes for moving between spots are useful, too.
What kinds of pictures can we try?
We can talk about close-up portraits, wider pictures that show the location, and a few ideas you want to play with.
