The thing about Happyologie is finding happy in your everyday.

So when it came time to shoot content for their reading collection, we wanted the photos to actually feel like that. Like someone who genuinely loves books and we knew exactly who to ask!

Graduation parties tend to feel like a lot of pressure before they come together and then surprisingly easy once you have a direction. The hardest part is usually deciding what kind of party actually fits your grad, your guest list, and your space. Once that's settled, everything else follows from it.

As an athlete myself, something that is super important to me when taking sports pictures is being able to capture the strength, focus, and courage that comes with being an athlete. Ella did a perfect job of modeling these attributes with this sports senior session!

Ellaina Porter is a Bolivar High School senior and we jumped out of the studio to get some photos on the square. The Bolivar Square is one of those spots that looks like it was made for golden hour: brick buildings, old storefronts, warm light cutting through at exactly the right angle when the sun starts to drop behind downtown.

I love studio sessions because with a blank background, all the focus is on the subject. Sessions like these have so much room for creativity and can be so fun!

Picture this: it’s the first day of spring, you get to pick out your favorite dresses, its 80 degrees out, and you get the spend the afternoon with Makenzie capturing the joys of the season.

Now stick with me, we’re gonna channel our inner Taylor Swift for this one.

There’s something about a fun heart-hand pose that just brings out the happiest in our clients.

Sophie had the Joy of hosting Ellaina in the studio for this super fun session! We wanted all the colorful and creative vibes, and she understood the assignment.

I had so much fun getting to photograph such an amazing person like my sister!

I really wanted to capture her young, free-spirited personality, and I feel like I did just that through these pictures.

Okay, so you and your best friend booked a BFF mini session. Amazing. Iconic.

Correct decision. You're going to laugh, you're going to look incredible, and you're going to end up with photos that live on your wall and your lock screen and probably your mom's Christmas card for the next three years.

What do you think of when you hear the word “vintage”? For me, vintage meant fashion, old money, dramatic poses and stylistic photos, and I wanted to truly capture the essence of that word.

There's nothing that makes me feel more put-together than having my calendar fully filled in and organized. It truly is the little things in life that you have to learn to appreciate. Like my color-coded weekly agenda.

With springtime finally here, I was so excited to be able to capture the joy that comes with this season of new beginnings and growth.
